Meet Brittany Gallegos, a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) at Pediatric Associates, and her beautiful family!

Brittany and her husband Adrian are raising their children, Rylee (5) and Brayden (3), in Montrose, just like her ancestors. Their family’s roots in Montrose date back to 1905, and Brittany feels blessed to continue this tradition.

Join us as we share the rich history of her family, including stories about her Grandma Ferna and Grandpa Tom in 1937!

Brittany and Adrian both graduated from Montrose High School in 2007, following in the footsteps of Brittany’s parents, who also attended the same school. Their love story is a true testament to the close-knit community of Montrose, as they reconnected several years after high school, started dating, and were married in 2017, right here in their hometown.

Brittany always knew she wanted a career in the medical field, and Pediatric Associates was her dream workplace. After earning her RMA certification, she joined the team in April 2013 and has now been there for 11 incredible years. It’s especially meaningful for Brittany because she used to be a patient at the same clinic, cared for by Dr. Wiard, who is now her colleague.

To work at her dream job in the town where she grew up, surrounded by the familiar faces and places of her childhood, is something Brittany cherishes deeply.
In 1980, at Montrose High School’s 1970s High School Reunion, Brittany’s mom and dad reunited as old classmates and sparks flew. They started dating and on Nov. 2nd, 1985, they got married right here in Montrose.

Brittany’s parents raised her and her twin brothers in Montrose, and they all attended and graduated from Montrose High School – Brittany in 2007 and her brothers in 2009. They also all played MHS sports representing Montrose proudly, with her playing Varsity Volleyball, one twin brother Rick playing Varsity Soccer, and the other twin brother Kirk being the Varsity Quarterback for MHS from his sophomore to senior year. They’re all big Broncos fans!
Brittany’s mom, Lanie, graduated from Montrose High School in 1970 and was honored as the 1970 Montrose High School Homecoming Queen. Her high school years were marked by community spirit and leadership.

Brittany’s Grandpa Don was a dedicated public servant, serving on the Montrose City Council from 1969 to 1976. He played a pivotal role in the community, culminating in his term as Mayor of Montrose from 1973 to 1974. His commitment to the town set a strong example for Brittany and her siblings, who were deeply influenced by this legacy of community involvement and pride.
Brittany’s Great Grandparents on her dad’s side moved to Montrose from Italy in 1905, and her Grandpa Tom English was born in Montrose in 1912.

Her Grandpa Tom married her Grandma Ferna in April 1937, and they raised her dad Gary and his five siblings; three aunts, Anna, Nancy, and Gloria, and two uncles, Tom and Danny, in Montrose. Brittany’s grandpa sold his land, and the subdivision was built where their ranch used to be, so this is how “English Gardens” got its name. (See the photo of Brittany’s Grandparent’s farm, where English Gardens is now).

Brittany’s dad Gary English was born and raised in Montrose and graduated from Montrose High School in 1970, where he went on to have Brittany – and here we are today.

We hope you enjoyed this walk down memory lane as much as we did.
